Herein, we systematically characterized seed proteome of flax grown in remediated, formerly radioactive, Chernobyl area. We established protein map of mature flax seeds, where 318 protein spots were quantified and 85 identified. Additionally, we established expression profiles for 379 protein spots during seed development out of which 102 were identified. Composite expression profiles revealed specific expression patters for metabolic protein classes. These data provide extensive descriptive platform for flax seeds harvested from the remediated, formerly radioactive Chernobyl area and suggest agricultural recovery of a formerly radioactive area.
