Mass Spectrometry… Quo vadis?

In this talk a short overview of mass spectral research in the Czech Republic with respect to proteomics and biological sciences will be presented. The current trends in biomarker discovery, structure biology, proteomics and metabolomics will be illustrated by original data published by Prague mass spectrometry group at IMIC in 2009-2011 period. Innovative emerging technologies, particularly tandem ion mobility spectrometry, accurate mass spectrometry imaging and SPE-HPLC-NMR-MS will be introduced.
